Concept:

The Ground Report India has arisen out of our concerns and awareness for a balanced media representation of the ground realities of present day India. We presently feel that the Indian media does not provide sufficient attention to the situation of the "common man". We believe that the Ground Report India is timely, as push for India to provide an economic growth that it is inclusive to the hundreds of millions of people who still live on less than $2 a day.


For each edition of the Ground Report India print magazine, the GRI team tours for around two months (more or less 60 days) in hundreds of areas of various states of India for ground reporting. Because of our efforts to report concretely from the ground, Ground Report India is a quarterly print-magazine.


Current move:

The Ground Report India (GRI) team has started a 15000 kms long tour covering hundreds of villages in 12 states of India to source ground-reports for the next edition of the Ground Report India print journal on "Water & Agriculture".

Areas of tour:

The states the GRI team will cover includes Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and NCR.
